Library Committee
Library committee is dedicated to cater the needs of students and to develop their interests in literature and creation of new knowledge. It is also responsible for time to time changes and development of the library.
Sports Committee
The sports committee is to promote every individuals health, physical well-being as among the acquisition of physical skills among the students. The committee aspires to inculcate qualities much as sportsmanship, team spirit and bonding. The main objective of our sports committee is to follow the famous epitome “A sound mind exists in a sound body”, Our college organises various games like football, cricket, basketball, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis and swimming etc.
Decoration Committee
The role of the decoration committee is to maintain the aesthetic value of the institution. The Decorating committee is a group of creative people who are able put the visions of an event to life through designing its layout, decoration, overall theme.
A good decoration throws more light on the purpose of the event.
Cultural Committee
Cultural committee is one of the crucial committee responsible for the jazz factor during the student’s college life. We are a bunch of motivated individuals who believe that a college should have its equal share of fun and frolic along with the studies. The committee shall be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the college.
Equal Opportunities Committee
This committee works in accordance with the concepts of gender equity and equal access of academic careers regardless of ethnic, cultural, geographical and social backgrounds, ability and health , as well as sexual and gender identity.
Discipline Committee
This cell addressers the grievances of the students studying in the college. Issues like studies, safety, health, library, welfare, proper infrastructure of laboratories canteen facilities, etc. are addressed by the committee.
Anti Ragging Cell
Seth Banarsi Dass college of Education has a zero tolerance policy on ragging. The Cell includes the Management, Principal, and Asst. Professors.
Guidelines
• To meet periodically to discuss and prevent incidences of ragging
• Educate students on the negativity of ragging which will help them to refrain from such acts
• Monitor anti – ragging activities in the Institution.
• During the assembly and value education class the students are briefed about ragging and ethos of the college.
• The whole campus is under CCTV surveillance and the movements of the students are monitored.
Teaching practice Commitee
Good teaching practice has key influence on student learning. Teaching practice is compulsory course for all aspiring student teachers. Teaching practice committee is a vital tool to programme managers. Duties of this committee include searching for and securing schools for teaching practice and field supervision
Examination Committee
The Examination Committee deals with examination held by the college. Examination committee advises on all matters including time table, timing, content and evaluation (internals & others) of exams. The major objectives of the examination committee are to advise and moderate for reports on all matters ; to handle examination and individual disciplines; to set principles and guidelines for examination policy.
Tour & Trip Committee
Apart form supporting a wide range of activities that serves the professional and intellectual interests of the students, Tour and trip Committee organizes various tour from time to time During the tour students get opportunity to explore the variety of complex and multifaceted phenomena that define India.
Additional opportunities for a more comprehensive Understanding of India are established through visits to numerous historical, political and cultural sites and through participants own experiences of exploration and discovery during the visit.
Placement Cell
The Placement cells of the college perform the following functions and responsibilities:
Nurtures School – College interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent school visits, in plant training and projects of teaching relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the hiatus between the school and the college. Receives and forwards the feedback pertinent to curriculum improvement from the visiting schools to the faculty, to ensure that the curriculum follows the latest Educational trends. Helps every student define his/her career interest through individual expert counseling. Makes available updated database and job profile of the schools thus helps each student analyze and choose schools of his interest. Displaying the situation vacant Organizes and coordinates Campus Placement Program, to fulfill its commitment of a job to every aspirant. Works towards continuing education for the college students.
Women and Grievances Cell
The Women cell is constituted to maintain a harmonious atmosphere at the institute, to enable woman to pursue their work with dignity and reassurance. The cell has been working to raise awareness on gender equality issues.
This cell also deals with various grievances ( Academic, Financial etc) of the students and helps them to overcome day to day problems.
Heath & Hygiene cell
It is a voluntary grouping at our Seth Banrasi Dass College of Education in which pupils meet with the supervision of their teachers to learn, discuss and take action on issues related to their health and wellbeing whilst they are in college. This cell works to promote hygienic lifestyles amongst students.
Guidance & Counselling Cell
The aim of guidance and counselling cell is to provide comprehensive guidance programme and services that will equip students with necessary knowledge, attitude and skills to become mature and socially responsible individuals. This cell is looked after by a teaching faculty.
Alumni Cell
In order to have life long relationship with its students and to provider opportunities for them to interact with the institution and their fellow students. The main functions of which are to carry out correspondence with the alumni and to organize get together in the college.
